Pickering College is recruiting a qualified Science and Mathematics teacher for our Senior School. The successful candidate must demonstrate exceptional teaching abilities in Physics and Mathematics and an eagerness to become involved in the co-curricular programming at the school. We are seeking a candidate who possesses passion, compassion, subject-area expertise, instructional excellence, and proven curriculum innovation.
Specific Responsibilities include:
· Teach part-time (4 classes)
· Lead and participate in co-curricular activities
· Provide on-call teaching coverage as required
· Participate in Department meetings, professional development and whole school activities
Experience and Qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Education, Intermediate/Senior
- Physics and Mathematics; 1-3 years of experience
- Member in good standing with Ontario College of Teachers
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Ontario curriculum
- Passion for innovation and creativity in education
- Commitment to students’ academic and personal success, including development of learning skills
- Ability to engage with, and implement the objectives of Pickering College’s Global Leadership Program
- Effective integration/use of technology to enhance teaching and learning

The salary range is based on our teacher's grid and ranges from $63,881 - $112,509
