This Supply Teacher role requires you to become fully involved in campus life, academics and the co-curricular program. Supply Faculty carry out their duties under the direction of the Assistant Head of School, Academics, and the Division Directors. Supply Faculty function as a team to ensure that the school’s Mission Statement is upheld. Supply Faculty provide class coverage as needed, on a daily basis.
RESPONSIBILITES:
· Supply Faculty are expected to work as a team to support one another and the academic program and conduct the following:
· Meet with the Assistant Head of School for daily teaching assignments, including tutoring and coaching.
· Cover classes and implement lesson plan provided by the subject teacher
· Attend assigned lunch and act as a Table Head.
· Attend staff meetings with the faculty as required.
· Coach a sports team or be staff advisor for a club.
· Chaperone school trips or sports teams as required.
· Work with a mentor teacher.
· Perform other duties as related, required or assigned.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
· University Graduate, Bachelor of Education with 1-3 years of experience
· Mature and responsible with initiative and leadership abilities
· Positive interpersonal skills and competent judgement
· Athletic/sports coaching interest
· Superior time management skills
· First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
This is a salaried position that includes a Health and Dental Plan and participation in the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. The salary range is $45,800 - $51,150.
