Digital Engagement Specialist

Overview
This is a full time regular non-faculty 12 month position. Reporting to the Director, Marketing and Communications, and is part of the Community Development team, this position will work closely with the Directors of Enrolment Management, Alumni and Community Relations, and Development. The Digital Engagement Specialist will assist in telling the story of Lauremont School to our internal and external communities.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Leading development and maintenance of Lauremont’s social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, etc.) in a manner that is timely and in keeping with the School’s branding and mission.
- Support the school’s communication and marketing efforts by curating and collecting content; filming, editing and producing high-quality photos and videos that capture stories and event coverage.
- Design, create and distribute strategic communication material including: Bi-Annual Going Beyond (official Lauremont Magazine), Annual Report, Gratitude Reports, Annual Giving Program collateral (printed and digital), organizational templates/presentations; and programmatic material needs as they arise
- Develop a social media strategy for Lauremont, which includes creating, maintaining, populating and measuring impact of social media sites for Lauremont and Discovery Camp.
- Oversee the production and archiving of photographs and video to be used in a variety of media for Lauremont and Discovery Camp.
- Develop metrics and gather data to measure outcomes and update media plans as needed.
- Provide operational support to Marketing and Communications, Alumni and Community Relations, Admissions and Development
- All other duties as assigned

Education/Experience/Qualifications
- Post-secondary education (College Diploma or University Degree) in marketing, communications, business or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing and/or communications.
- Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to use social media analytics and data visualization tools to track, interpret, and present performance insights (e.g., Google Analytics, Tableau, Meta Ads Manager).
- Skilled in designing and curating visually compelling, brand-aligned social media content that drives engagement and audience growth.
- Skilled in creating photo and video content for social media and ability to spot trends.
- Excellent writing, proofreading, and editing skills, with direct experience writing corporate communications, web and email copy and informational content.
- Experience creating and maintaining communications campaigns.
- Experience designing marketing collateral, with design software experience (such as Adobe Creative Suite).
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and an engaging presence that fosters connection and collaboration.
- Understanding key digital marketing trends and practices.
- A current Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check
- Current Standard First Aid, CPR, and AED
Salary Range: $51,750 - $70,000/annually
