The Opportunity
We are looking for an Associate Teacher to assist experienced teachers in classrooms from Grades 7 to 12 by providing class coverage, and who will also have the potential to teach a section of TAS2O. TAS2O is an open-level course designed to introduce students to various trade and technology sectors through the engineering design process. Opportunities exist for becoming involved in the co-curricular life of the school through the supervision of clubs, teams, and activities.
This is a 100% FTE position for a new vacancy starting September 2026 and ending June 2027. Candidates must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, with Intermediate/Senior qualifications. Qualification in Technological Education is preferred but not required. Some experience in guiding students through a design process is required with an ability to work with basic tools and technology.
Compensation and Benefits:
UTS offers a highly competitive compensation package that includes participation in OTPP. Target annual compensation for this position is between $58,000 - $68,000 depending on educational qualifications and years of teaching experience.
