Compensation & Placement: Salary is determined by the HTS Faculty Salary Grid, ranging from $63,900 – $97,000 for Faculty with up to 5 years of experience and $84,100– $124,800 for those with 5+ years of teaching experience. Final placement is based on recognized teaching years, degrees, and Additional Qualifications (AQs)

About This Faculty Role:

HTS has an LTO opportunity for an educator to join our Middle School, Grades 6-8, as a Science Teacher (August 2026 - June, 2027)

The successful candidates will oversee the academic progress and personal growth of each student in their assigned courses, and be fully involved in co-curricular activities. At HTS, instructional design centres our learners. The successful candidate will bring with them a passion for authentic and interdisciplinary work and a dedication to learners in all that they do.

What You Need:

We are inviting candidates with the following qualifications to apply:

Ontario Teacher Certification with qualifications in Intermediate Division Science
The willingness and ability to collaborate with fellow teachers including interdisciplinary projects
Deep knowledge of the Ontario curriculum and Growing Success Policies
Knowledge of Ontario’s - 21st century competencies
Experience or expertise in learner-centered instructional approaches: Project-based learning, Design thinking or Challenge-based learning
Experience integrating technology into the learning environment to enhance and augment the learning experience
Experience working from a DEI framework
