Branksome Hall, a leading independent International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, offers remarkable Day Camps during the summer. Join our dynamic team, on a picturesque 13-acre campus in the heart of Toronto utilizing our state-of-the-art facilities. We provide high-quality, comprehensive programming for over 1,400 campers aged 4 to 14, spanning Arts, Sports, STEM, Swim and Leadership Camps. The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a creative Photographer & Content Creator to join our team!
Bringing high-energy and capturing the highlights of our 2026 Summer Camp season at Branksome Hall, you’ll be in the heart of the action. You’ll be responsible for documenting high-quality action shots of sports, activities, and daily camp life, as well as producing short-form video content for our social media and end-of-summer highlight reels.
Our Photographer & Video Editor will demonstrate their responsibility, dedication, good judgement and enthusiasm to ensure a safe and fun environment for all members of our community.
Term Details:
Mandatory Training Dates: June 6, June 13 & June 15, 2026
Work Term: June 22 - August 21, 2026 (potential for days or a certain week off, preference given to candidates who can work most or all weeks)
Hours: 8:15 - 4:30 daily, from Monday-Friday
Camp Closures: July 1st, 2026 and August 3rd, 2026
Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Action Photography: Capture high-speed movement, from soccer camp to dance camp, ensuring that a wide range of programs and events are captured for preservation and future promotional purposes.
- Daily Storytelling: Document the authentic, candid moments that make camp special and stitch it all together into a story that captures what camp life is all about. .
- Social Content: Create engaging content to give parents a "window" into the camp experience while being aware of the Digital Privacy Act and regulations.
- Video Production: Filming and editing of weekly or end-of-season videos capturing all aspects of camp.
- Content Asset Management: Daily uploading and basic color correction/sorting of photos.
- Professional Conduct & Compliance: Serve as a positive role model, uphold all camp policies, values, and safety procedures, and maintain a clean, safe, and fun camp environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous camp experience or related experience working with youth/children is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with social media platforms and asset organization systems
- Able to operate a DSLR camera, transfer content between devices, and use photo and video editing software
- Take ownership and responsibility for all electronic equipment used for the role
- Skills, education or relevant experience with a portfolio of action shots
- Current Standard First Aid/CPR certification required before start of camp
- Enhanced Police Information Check (EPIC) required for staff 18 years of age or older, and Criminal Offense Declaration for those younger than 18 years of age
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to problem solve effectively and work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to work as part of a team with a wide variety of ages and demographic groups
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Able to work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions
- Lifting and moving camp equipment and supplies from one location to another
- Walking and/or standing for long periods of time (3+ hours at a time, 7+ hours per day)
Compensation & Benefits:
- Weekly pay rate ranges from $19.00 - $21.00, depending on experience
- Daily lunch, snacks and morning coffee/tea provided
