Founded in 1962, Bayview Glen is an independent, co-educational university preparatory day school with more than 1100 students from Preschool through to Grade 12. Our school thrives on two closely connected campuses in the heart of Toronto and offers a truly transformative educational experience, delivered by exceptional teachers and guided by our School’s mission “Whole Child, Purposeful Life, Better World”. Driven by our vision to be the leader in bold thinking and future readiness, we offer a welcoming, vibrantly diverse and inclusive community with staff that exemplify our values of compassion, curiosity and courage. Bayview Glen is a member of the CIS Ontario, CAIS, NAIS and Round Square organizations.
Bayview Glen is embarking on an exciting new chapter with the launch of a full-year Co-operative Education programme – one designed to connect learning with purpose and prepare students to engage thoughtfully with the world beyond the classroom. We are seeking a full-time Co-operative Education (Co-op) Teacher to lead this initiative beginning in the 2026-2027 school year.
Reporting to the Head of Upper School, this role offers a rare opportunity to plan, shape, and bring to life a programme that embodies our mission: Whole Child, Purposeful Life, Better World. As the Co-op Teacher, you will build on the success of our summer Co-op Programme by establishing the programme’s vision, structure, and partnerships, and creating authentic, safe, and curriculum-aligned workplace experiences that help students discover their strengths, test their interests, and develop confidence, curiosity and courage. You will guide students to see learning as a real‑world experience – purposeful, connected, and integral to their personal growth.
You will plan and teach the Co-op course while contributing to the broader academic life of the School, carrying a teaching load of up to (3) additional courses. Teaching responsibilities will be reviewed after the first year to align with School needs and Co‑op programme demand, with the potential for an increased course load.
At Bayview Glen, integrity, inclusivity, and respect ground our work, while adaptability and innovation guide our future. We value educators who are energized by possibility, inspired by young people, and motivated to build programmes that matter. If you are excited by bold thinking, meaningful partnerships, and shaping pathways that prepare students for purposeful lives, we invite you to join our community and help define what Co-operative Education can be.
