POSITION: Major Gifts Officer
Starting Date: August, 2026 for a vacancy/new role
Salary Range: Compensation in the range of $85,000 to $105,000 determined by relevant work experience and qualifications.
Description: Albert College is an independent day and boarding school for students in PK to Grade 12 in Belleville, Ontario. A student’s experience of the five A’s – academics, arts, athletics, active citizenship and adventure – is integral to an Albert College education. The Major Gifts Officer will advance the vision and strategic plan of Albert College through the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift donors, and through building strong, long-term philanthropic relationships with members of the Albert College community.
The Majoy Gifts Officer will:
· Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with prospective donors, international partners, current parents, students, faculty, and all Albert constituencies;
· Manage fundraising plans from development to execution;
· Embrace international travel should execution include this step;
· Be able to demonstrate cultivation and solicitation plans, collaboration and fundraising experience;
· Be proficient with database entry and statistics, essential in organizing and analysing fundraising information;
· Have superior organizational skills and ability to work within deadlines in a busy environment;
· Possess adaptability and flexibility to manage unexpected events and be able to balance several ongoing projects.
Additional language skills are considered an asset.
