Rate: Compensation & Placement Salary is determined by the Albert College Faculty Grid, ranging from $64,272 – $83,976 for early-career faculty and $72,480 – $111,648 for those with 6+ years of experience. Final placement is based on recognized teaching years, degrees, and Additional Qualifications (AQs).
DESCRIPTION:
Albert College is a CAIS (Canadian Accredited Independent Schools) day and boarding school for students in PK to Grade 12 in Belleville, Ontario. A student’s experience of the 5 A’s – academics, arts, athletics, active citizenship and adventure – is integral to an Albert College education. Albert College seeks an energetic and dedicated Senior School Teacher with at least 3 years’ experience. The ideal candidate will:
· Embrace our values of individuality, compassion, integrity, diversity and inclusion and Optimism;
· Possess strong curriculum development skills and assessment practices that incorporate strategies relevant to the age and stage assessment practices;
· Contribute to the many facets of school life and will be asked to supervise students during non-academic times as well as on field trips and excursions. .
· Have a proven record in cultivating a dynamic classroom that nurtures students’ love of learning
· Be adept at delivering education programs electronically and ability to use electronic communication to correspond with students, parents, colleagues and the community at large;
· Have Ontario College of Teachers certification with qualifications in intermediate/senior mathematics or equivalent degree.
