The Opportunity
Creativity, collaboration, and a commitment to innovative practice are deeply valued at UTS. We are looking for a dynamic educator with strong English teaching experience and qualifications who can inspire and empower students to think creatively and embark on an educational journey. Can you bring literature to life? We are looking for an exceptional educator to join us for a career at UTS that is anything but textbook! Equipped with critical thinking skills and a better understanding of their roles as engaged global citizens, you will be instrumental in helping students find ways they can make a positive difference around them.
This is a full-time (100% FTE) continuing bargaining unit position for an existing vacancy, starting September 2026. Candidates must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers, and have:
- English Honour Specialist Qualifications.
- A minimum of five years of teaching experience with a focus on English, and
- Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of the role of equity diversity and inclusion across curricular and co-curricular activities.

Target compensation range is from $80,000 to $120,000 depending on educational qualifications and years of teaching experience.
