Are you passionate about shaping young minds and dedicated to making a difference? We’re looking for an English Teacher to join our Prep School (Grades 6 to 8) for a one year LTO contract for the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll have a Grade 7 Homeroom class and teach Grade 6, 7 and 8 English.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Preparing, developing, and implementing engaging lesson plans, consistent with the Bayview Glen curriculum and differentiating these plans according to student needs
- Using a variety of teaching strategies and instructional materials to meet the diverse learning needs of students
- Maintaining timely and effective communication with students, parents and faculty
- Promoting a classroom environment dedicated to the Bayview Glen “Whole Child, Purposeful Life, Better World” educational philosophy
- Participating in sports coaching and co-curricular responsibilities.
What You’ll Need:
- A Bachelor of Education Degree in Junior/Intermediate or equivalent
- An Undergraduate Degree with an area of specialization in English or equivalent
- Membership, in good standing, with the Ontario College of Teachers or equivalent
- A minimum of two to three years of experience working with children at the Prep School level
- A demonstrated passion for English and a thorough understanding of current educational practices
- Strong interpersonal, organization, communication and time management skills
- Willingness and enthusiasm towards participating in the co-curricular program and school community

Compensation follows the School’s faculty salary grid and is based on education, additional qualifications, and years of direct teaching experience. The salary range will be based on our grid from $69,983 (for candidates with 2 years of teaching experience) to $101,559 (for those with 5 years of teaching experience).
