We’re looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our team for a one year contract. You’ll be reporting to the Director of Finance and working fully on site at our School to manage the accounting operations which includes student receivables, accounts payable and payroll functions.
Working closely with the entire Finance team, you’ll be responsible for providing comprehensive financial support, including analysis, reporting, payroll processing, benefits tracking, and assisting with the month-end close process to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

What You’ll Be Doing:
· Reconciling all balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and prepaid expenses, to ensure accuracy and completeness on a monthly basis.
· Preparing and posting recurring, adjusting, and accrual journal entries, such as depreciation, payroll, and intercompany transactions.
· Assisting in reviewing and ensuring accuracy of general ledger entries and correcting discrepancies as needed.
· Collaborating with Human Resources and Payroll to ensure accurate payroll processing and compliance with labour laws and organizational policies.
· Supporting benefits and pension enrollment and tracking, ensuring employee benefits/ contributions are accurately recorded, processed, and reconciled.
· Assisting the Director of Finance and COO with annual preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support organizational planning and decision-making.
· Providing support during audits, including preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
· Identifying and implementing improvements to financial processes, systems, and tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
What You’ll Need:
· Post-Secondary Education with Accounting, Finance, or a related field and CPA designation;
· Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant financial analysis, accounting, or payroll experience, preferably in a nonprofit organization;
· Demonstrated experience supporting operational leaders, preparing financial dashboards, and contributing to budgeting and forecasting cycles;
· Exceptional organizational abilities and time management skills with an ability to meet deadlines, multi-task and prioritize workload;
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
· Advanced Computer Skills with excellent knowledge of MS Office and databases;
· Proficiency in NetSuite ERP is considered an asset, with the ability to utilize its reporting, budgeting, and reconciliation features effectively;
· Comfort working with multiple systems and troubleshooting data discrepancies across platforms;

Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, with an annual salary range of $66,000–$85,000, taking into account skills, relevant experience, and internal equity considerations.
