Compensation & Placement: Salary is determined by the HTS Faculty Salary Grid, ranging from $63,900 – $97,000 for Faculty with up to 5 years of experience and $84,100– $124,800 for those with 5+ years of teaching experience. Final placement is based on recognized teaching years, degrees, and Additional Qualifications (AQs)

About This Faculty Role:
HTS has an exciting opportunity for an educator to join our Modern Languages Department as a full-time Senior School French Teacher (effective August 2026).
The successful candidate will have an impressive understanding of the Ontario grades 9-12 Core French curriculum including an outstanding fluency of Growing Success along with an acute knowledge base as to how foreign language learning and teaching should be both personalized and use an interdisciplinary approach. The successful candidate will also be able to triangulate assessments in a variety of ways to provide reliable and robust evidence of student learning. Experience in planning language trips and preparing students for the AP French exam are assets.

What You Need:
We are inviting candidates with the following qualifications to apply:
- Ontario Teacher Certification with experience teaching French at the senior level (grades 9-12);
- Deep knowledge of the Ontario curriculum and Growing Success Policies
- Knowledge of Ontario’s - 21st century competencies
- Experience or expertise in learner-centered instructional approaches: Project-based learning, Design thinking or Challenge-based learning
- Experience integrating technology into the learning environment to enhance and augment the learning experience
- The willingness and ability to collaborate with fellow teachers including interdisciplinary projects
- Experience working from a DEI framework
